About the Artist
Tim Sutton is a Native American and African American artist based in Oklahoma whose work bridges tradition, nature, and contemporary design. His artistic process begins with raw materials, wood he personally fracks and repurposes, transforming them into powerful visual statements using paint, epoxy, and an instinctive eye for balance and form. Each piece carries both a story and a spirit.
In addition to woodwork, Tim creates customized T-shirts and wearable art that reflect his deep connection to culture and place. His designs often incorporate bold, symbolic imagery that speaks to identity, resilience, and creativity. He also works with animal skulls, honoring the natural world by giving these objects new life as part of his mixed-media creations.
Tim’s work doesn’t just decorate a space—it tells a story, invites conversation, and carries meaning. Whether it’s a one-of-a-kind table, a painted skull, or a shirt that speaks louder than words, Tim brings an energy to his craft that is rooted in heritage, shaped by experience, and driven by vision.
